How we plan and deliver our curriculum

We follow the Ofsted framework of Intent, Implementation and Impact to make sure our curriculum is well planned, well taught, and that pupils are achieving the outcomes we set for them.

Intent

What we teach and why

A clear, ambitious curriculum that builds knowledge and skills year on year, rooted in Catholic values and meeting the requirements of the National Curriculum.

Implementation

How we teach it

High-quality teaching using carefully chosen schemes, with regular CPD for staff and assessment that informs the next steps of learning.

Impact

What pupils achieve

Strong outcomes at the end of EYFS, KS1 and KS2, alongside the personal, spiritual and social growth that defines a St Peter Chanel education.

Curriculum access for all

We adapt our curriculum so every child — including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities — can access the full range of learning. Read more about our approach in our SEN Information Report.
