Welcome to St Peter Chanel Catholic Primary School. We are delighted that you are exploring our school, and we hope this website gives you a clear sense of who we are, what we value, and the vibrant, nurturing community your child will become part of. Our extensive grounds, dedicated, experienced staff and on-site Pre-School allow us to offer a rich, stimulating education with many opportunities for outdoor learning and discovery.

As a Catholic school, we believe that we are all children of God, called to create a loving, inclusive Christian community rooted in Gospel values. At St Peter Chanel, every child is seen, known and valued. We recognise that each child is unique, and we pride ourselves on providing a caring, happy and welcoming environment where pupils feel safe, confident and inspired to achieve their best. We work in close partnership with families and our parish community, believing that strong relationships between home, school and church are the foundation of a child’s success.

Our aims are to:

• Educate, inspire and challenge every child through a broad, balanced and exciting curriculum that nurtures curiosity and develops the whole child—academically, spiritually, physically, creatively and emotionally.

• Set high expectations for learning, behaviour and attitudes so that all members of our community strive for excellence in all that they do.

• Nurture spiritual and moral growth, helping children recognise Christ in themselves and in others, and supporting them in developing a deep, confident relationship with God.

• Empower children to become independent thinkers, resilient learners and compassionate individuals who are ready to make a positive difference in the world.

We are proud of our strong links with St Lawrence’s Parish, Sidcup, and the rich opportunities this partnership brings. As members of the Corpus Christi Partnership, we collaborate closely with other Catholic schools to ensure excellent teaching, shared practice, and a continually improving educational experience for every child.
